Bravo, great article, and a nice summary of Steve Souders “High Performance Web Sites” book adapted to WordPress sites. I’m surprised though by the size reduction you achieved with the CSS minification. Usually I get between 20% and 40% top size reduction. But it’s true WordPress stylesheets are quite long and not always efficient.

I wrote a post specifically on CSS minification explaining it’s principle:

Last comment: amazing time load reduction in the end, but it only applies to a site which has already been visited (so browser cache can be used). As Steve Souders mentions, most users have an empty cache (1st visit situation).
